TKP Consulting & Research is a branch of The Kilos Project that helps individuals and organizations design sustainable systems for how they work and live.

Our mantra, Train. Recover. Create. captures the rhythm of sustainable performance and represents three dimensions of human and organizational sustainability:

Ambition — developing focus, momentum, and discipline

Burnout Prevention — repairing systems and restoring balance

Longevity — enhancing adaptability, purpose, and vitality

TKP Consulting & Research integrates Industrial/Organizational Psychology, adaptive fitness principles, and creative systems design into a unified methodology for sustainable growth.

We begin by examining how values are expressed in daily workflows and how patterns of decision-making and behavior reveal underlying priorities. When those values and behaviors diverge, performance becomes reactive, energy wanes, and meaning diminishes.

Understanding how to restore this alignment drives our ongoing research in ambition, burnout and longevity. Our studies investigate how purpose, connection, and adaptability interact to sustain high performance and well-being across time. By synthesizing insights from psychology, physiology, and design, we model the conditions that enable individuals and organizations to thrive sustainably.

Our work begins at that point of friction, translating burnout into a blueprint for redesign. We treat burnout as a diagnostic signal that reveals where ambition, recovery, and structure have fallen out of sync.

Across all environments, TKP’s process is rooted in the same philosophy, to make systems adaptive, resilient, and aligned with human values.

TKP Consulting & Research’s Core Framework:

Develop → Repair → Enhance

The Develop–Repair–Enhance arc is practice’s operational framework for consulting and research. It mirrors the natural rhythm of Train. Recover. Create., translating sustainable growth into repeatable phases of action and reflection.

  • Develop — Build systems that don’t yet exist. Establish structure around emerging ambition, transforming ideas into organized, repeatable workflows.

  • Repair — Realign systems that have drifted from their purpose. Diagnose sources of friction, fatigue, and misalignment to restore clarity and balance.

  • Enhance — Strengthen and scale systems for longevity. Refine and reinforce what works, developing the adaptability and resilience required for sustained evolution.

Our focus is on systemic change, not surface-level optimization. We design environments where people can thrive without burning out and where systems evolve with their creators, rather than against them.

We draw on adaptive fitness principles —the science of how systems maintain integrity under stress —as both metaphor and method. In this sense, “fitness” extends beyond physical strength; it represents the mental and emotional adaptability that allows individuals and organizations to preserve purpose and performance through change.

TKP Consulting & Research Values-in-Workflow Model

Every system mirrors its values. When those values fall out of sync with daily operations, burnout follows.

Our Values-in-Workflow Model provides a structured way to realign purpose and process. The model follows four key steps:

  1. Observe — Identify the visible systems: habits, patterns, workflows, and routines.

  2. Interpret — Surface the invisible systems: values, motivations, and assumptions driving behavior.

  3. Design — Rebuild or redesign processes to reflect core values and psychological needs.

  4. Align — Reinforce through reflection, feedback, and deliberate adjustment over time.

Grounded in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, this model draws from evidence-based frameworks such as:

  • Self-Determination Theory (SDT): emphasizing autonomy, competence, and relatedness as foundations for motivation and growth.

  • Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) Model: balancing effort with recovery to sustain performance.

  • Person–Environment Fit: aligning personal values and organizational conditions for long-term engagement.

When values and workflow align, individuals and organizations develop the mental fitness to adapt under pressure transforming burnout from a breakdown into an opportunity for evolution.

Cross-Environment Applications

The TKP philosophy adapts seamlessly across disciplines, translating the Train. Recover. Create. cycle into each environment’s language and culture.

Business & Organizational Environments

Where Business Meets Design.

Challenge:

Organizations often outgrow their systems. As operations expand, clarity blurs, and fatigue spreads. People become busy but unfocused; ambitious, yet misaligned.

Approach:

TKP applies performance-system design, integrating I/O Psychology and behavioral science to realign ambition with capacity. We help leaders and teams rebuild systems that sustain creativity, decision-making, and collaboration without sacrificing well-being.

Philosophy:

Train. Recover. Create. becomes an organizational rhythm, training focus, and strategy for recovery from overextension, and for creating pathways for innovation and renewal.

Invitation:

Let’s design a system that sustains both performance and presence.

Health & Fitness Professionals

Where Health Meets Design.

Challenge:

Practitioners spend their days helping others improve, yet their own systems for growth and renewal often go neglected. They may feel physically strong but mentally overextended, caught between professional service and personal sustainability.

Approach:

TKP reframes classic fitness principles —adaptability, progressive overload, and recovery — as tools for mental and emotional endurance. We help practitioners apply these same laws of balance to their focus, workflow, and ambition, treating energy as a renewable resource that must be trained and restored.

Philosophy:

When applied beyond the body, fitness becomes a mindset for sustainable work. By training smarter, recovering deliberately, and designing systems that reflect their core values, practitioners model longevity from the inside out, living examples of the harmony they teach.

Invitation:

Let’s design a practice that sustains both your clients and your ambition.

Artists & Creative Professionals

Where Creativity Meets Design.

Challenge:

Creative work thrives on intensity but falters without rhythm. Artists often push to their limits, mistaking exhaustion for dedication, until the very process that fuels their art begins to deplete them.

Approach:

TKP uses fitness as a framework for creative stamina, building endurance in thought, emotion, and expression. Through adaptability, recovery, and deliberate practice, we help artists design workflows that protect energy while deepening creative output.

Philosophy:

Train. Recover. Create. mirrors the creative process itself, discipline as training, rest as recovery, and reinvention as creation. By strengthening these cycles, artists cultivate not just art, but the mental fitness to sustain a lifelong relationship with their craft.

Invitation:

Let’s design a system that keeps your art and your energy alive.

Competency & Research Map

TKP integrates Consulting, Research, Education, and Application into a single ecosystem for systemic longevity.

Each competency operates within two parallel frameworks:

Develop → Repair → Enhance
(operational process)
Train → Recover → Create
(psychological rhythm)

Core Competencies

Consulting:

  • Systems Analysis & Design — mapping workflows, structures, and interdependencies to identify misalignment.

  • Value Alignment & Organizational Psychology — connecting purpose to performance through behavioral insight.

Research:

  • Recovery & Energy Management — studying how rest, rhythm, and reflection shape performance capacity.

  • Creative Sustainability & Longevity Science — exploring how adaptability and purpose sustain lifelong creative and professional vitality.

Education:

  • Adaptive Behavior & Systemic Fitness — teaching individuals and teams how to train flexibility and resilience under change.

  • Strategic Reflection & Adaptive Leadership — developing leaders who design culture with intention and self-awareness.

Each project functions as both a practical intervention and a research case study in human systems, advancing our understanding of how ambition, recovery, and longevity interact across disciplines.

TKP Consulting & Research bridges performance and well-being through one universal rhythm:

Train. Recover. Create.

Because burnout isn’t a personal failure, it’s a design problem.
